South East Asia, South America, and Africa have been the continents that have always come late to the technological parties. From the internet boom to the mobile revolution, their time has come to catch on and take advantage of the web 3.0 disruption. Blockchain startups such as Huobi Pro, Block Commodities, and LATAM Blockchain have been concentrating their resources in such regions to leapfrog them into a safe haven of blockchain innovation. n

Huobi alongside Kyber Network are co-hosting a blockchain festival in Vietnam May 25th to help raise blockchain awareness to one of the regions that need a technological boost the most, South East Asia. Seventy Percent of citizens in the region are unbanked, cryptocurrencies can facilitate cross and in-border transactions to make everyday purchases, and send money to family members. The blockchain festival is a conference series around the world to promote blockchain technology in the regions that can take advantage the most.

Huobi is an international cryptocurrency exchange that offers 100+  digital assets to trade from, aside from a unique new token trading experience (HADAX). Kyber is a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange.

As a student, it has become really expensive to attend major blockchain conferences around the world. One of the best ways to network and learn about the industry are attending such events. Consensus ($2000) and other major conferences usually don’t offer student discounts, but this blockchain conference has been focusing on students by distributing free tickets  for students and professors looking to learn about the industry to meet, network, and find jobs in the industry as a job fair will take place.

Most projects in attendance and guest speakers have tremendous experience in the industry and a vision for a better Vietnam. Jeffrey Wernick, an early uber, Airbnb, and bitcoin investor will help attendees find value in the blockchain industry. Government officials will also attend like Le Ngoc Giang – Ministry of Justice of Vietnam and  Dr. David Nguyen, President of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce.

Aside from meeting world-class blockchain experts, attendees will receive airdrops, an official DRC cryptocurrency rating report worth $100,000 amongst other benefits.
